I’ve been having a careful what you wish for week. In my years as an amateur and professional developer, I always wanted to be part of a team. A couple of months ago I got my wish, and maybe being a lone dev was not so bad.

So along with a ton of personal stuff, I’ve been dealing with unstable APIs, merge conflicts, breaking changes, and a corrupted dev environment. Also, still climbing the React Native/Redux learning curve. This involves writing functional, immutable code. For the last couple of days, I’ve been so focused that I didn’t eat lunch.

Still, at the end of the day I’m doing what I wanted to do. Even with the pain and instability of high tech, I wouldn’t go back. It can be tough as a programmer, but it’s worth it.
